Terms of Service

Last updated: March 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StarsPay platform, including the website at starspay.dev, the dashboard at app.starspay.dev, the @starspay/sdk npm package, and associated backend services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys, bot tokens, and account credentials. You must not share your secret API keys publicly or embed them in client-side code. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with Telegram's Terms of Service. You must not:

4. Payment Terms

Telegram Stars. StarsPay facilitates Telegram Stars payments between your bot's users and Telegram. We do not hold, custody, or transfer Stars funds. All Stars transactions are processed by the Telegram Bot API. StarsPay records and reports these transactions for your analytics and subscription management purposes.

Dashboard Plans. Paid StarsPay dashboard plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds for partial months are not provided.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Telegram Bot API, Supabase, Stripe) that is outside our control. We are not liable for downtime or service degradation caused by these third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

The @starspay/sdk npm package is licensed under the MIT License. The StarsPay dashboard, backend services, and branding are proprietary. You may use the SDK in your own projects in accordance with the MIT License.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StarsPay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@starspay.dev. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
